Penrose Sleeps 8 in 4 Bedrooms.
New holiday property built in 2024/2025.
We are now taking bookings for 2025, lots of availability for this year.
Location:
In an enviable position on a hillside just above Gillan Creek, Penrose is a detached house with a stunning open-plan living space and a large deck looking across panoramic views of the coast and countryside. It stands in a quiet private garden at the end of its own driveway and has parking for 4 cars. There is only one neighbouring property bordering Penrose, which is hidden behind mature hedges to the rear.
The beaches of Flushing and Gillan Cove and the beautiful South West Coast path are a 5 minute walk away (these beaches are never crowded as there is no public parking). The location is ideally situated for a relaxing escape in a gorgeous space or an activity holiday with sailing, walking and watersports. Boats can be hired at nearby St Anthony, just around the point from the Helford River with its pretty village and creeks to explore.
Penrose has free highspeed Broadband and multiple USB and ethernet points.
Accommodation:
Living-dining room and kitchen. Four double bedrooms – bedroom 1 with King size bed & en-suite, bedroom 2 with Super King size bed, bedroom 3 with King size bed, bedroom 4 with two single beds. Games room. Shower room. Family bathroom with shower. Washing machine & dryer closet.
The property has just been rebuilt with a traditional Cornish exterior and spacious contemporary interior with floor-to-ceiling windows along the entire length of the house facing the coast and countryside, double glazing, underfloor heating, individual temperature controls in each room, and brand new kitchen and bathrooms.
Entrance:
A paved pathway leads from the parking area to a covered porch with entrance door to the main living space.
Open Plan Living Space:
The stunning open-plan living-dining-kitchen space has spectacular views and is flooded with natural light from a double-height vaulted ceiling with rooflights and an entire wall of floor-to-ceiling bifold doors. It has a large sitting area on one side with comfortable seating including L-shaped sofa and a SMART TV, and a stylish dining table on the other side with 8 chairs next to a sideboard, and is tastefully decorated throughout with a mix of original art and vintage pieces.
Deck:
The bifold doors open out onto a huge raised deck with panoramic views that is completely private. In front of the living area, the deck measures 10 metres wide x 4 metres deep and is furnished with comfortable outdoor sofas and teak steamer chairs. The bifolds can open up completely to connect the inside and outside. The deck runs the entire length of the house and forms a balcony in front of the bedrooms, which all have double glazed French doors opening onto it (except the twin bedroom).
Kitchen:
At the rear of the living area is a stylish fitted kitchen with quartz marble worktops and an attractive breakfast bar that screens the kitchen off from the rest of the space. The kitchen is fully equipped with integrated oven, induction hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge freezer.
4 Bedrooms:
The bedrooms are on either side of the living space, accessed via corridors behind doors for additional privacy and quiet.
Bedroom 1 has a 6ft Super King size bed with double-glazed patio doors onto a balcony facing the views. Bedroom 2 has 2 x 3ft single beds and a window facing the views. They share a shower room with walk-in glass cubicle, both rainfall and hand-held shower heads, heated towel rail, handbasin with drawer storage, electric toothbrush and shaving point, WC and window with privacy glass.
On the other side of the living space, Bedroom 3 has a 5ft King size bed and double-glazed patio doors onto a balcony facing the views, and an ensuite shower room with walk-in glass cubicle and both rainfall and hand-held shower heads, heated towel rail, handbasin with drawer storage, electric toothbrush and shaving point, WC and window with privacy glass.
