The Lizard Peninsula, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is the warmest place in mainland Britain, enjoying the full benefit of the Gulf Stream. The South West Coastal Path winds its way around the Peninsula providing exceptionally beautiful walks and much of the area is owned by the National Trust who ensure that it remains preserved and unspoilt. Visit Lizard point, the most southerly point in the British Isles with its lighthouse, plus gift shops, pub and cafes in the village and stunning coastal walks.
