It has a sand and pebble beach and a windsurfing school, where tuition is available. Coverack has a pub, general store, two gift shops, fish and chip restaurant, cafes and an ice cream parlour.

So many happy memories of this wonderful place! Curlew Bank is a delightful cottage situated in a beautiful and tranquil place on the gorgeous Helford River. With Flushing beach right on the door step, and Gillan beach only a short walk away, this is a great place for family holidays, which we have enjoyed immensely over the years we have stayed here. The cottage is delightfully furnished, with an excellent woodburner for those chilly evenings. I cannot think of a better place to stay in Cornwall!

Curlew Bank in Gillan is what I think of and look forward to when someone says the word “summer.” Our family have loved spending time there for the last 25yrs. It’s set in the most beautiful area of Cornwall and living on the north coast, not far away, I have looked around a lot. The house is tucked into the valley and hidden from everyone else. Having your own private footpath directly to the beach is amazing and so convenient. The veranda overlooks the sea and catches the sunset behind the fishing boats. It’s great firing up the BBQ after a day playing on the water and then I love going inside to the log fire. The house is more homely than my own house and very comfortable. Loads of parking. Lots to do nearby with Sailaway boat hire where you can also launch your own boat, lots of amazing walks, sailing and every other water sport you can think of and the stunning. Helford river estuary just round the corner.

Hi Phil,The Trek has very recently been completely renovated and enlarged (we were the first guests for this season, 2025). It is stunning. A lot of time and care has been put into the property on the design and functionality of the house. We were 7 and the property provided ample space for us. The kitchen and utility are really well equipped. The decor, the use of colours and soft furnishings provide the modern look and the feel off a home where you feel completely relaxed. There was plenty of hot water, the under floor heating was an added bonus. The views are out of this world. You never tire of them. We both grew up in the area and so it was lovely to bring our friends to a part of the world that we know so well. Highly recommend the walk between Gillan and Manaccan. The New Inn at Manaccan is under new ownership; the welcome and food are great. Would we return - yes. Lindford Cottages were easy to communicate with/quick to respond to questions. So nice to deal with a person when making the reservation. Thank you Phil.
